Inner Pilgrimage
The inner pilgrimage was one of three 3D models I created as visual studies for what I called “constructed environments”. They were planned to be enlarged and placed within gallery spaces. The constructed environments are meant to involve the Artworks experiencers in mindful practices such as mindful walking, aware sitting and silence experiences.
The “Inner Pilgrimage” is a space within a space. It is pointing at awareness of the consciousness present during our daily life practices performed within frames of time and space. The black box is related to the gallery as a White Cube. Nevertheless, my black box is indeed celebrating the space of the gallery as a sanctuary for the Arts, the sacred means of life. Where all nations meet in peace. Conversely, the black box is separating its experiencer from the rest of the gallery, this hints to the solitude of the individuals’ consciousness within a diverted societal space.
By placing a room within the room of the gallery I am exploring the juxtaposition between inner space and outer space. The black box is acting as an invitation towards the acknowledgment of conscious-awareness. It is creating a space for the consciousness to be seen within the individual presence. It is a call to walk the inner path towards the true meeting with oneself prior to the real meeting with the other.
Despite the fact that traditional pilgrimage is a move headed for a remote destination, the “Inner Pilgrimage” is a minimum effort takes place internally. Opposed to the mass assembly of traditional pilgrimages, the “Inner Pilgrimage” box is intended to host one person at a time indicating the inner trail as an individual journey.
The structure at the heart of the “Inner Pilgrimage” is an illuminated cone, a two parts structure ended with a steel funnel that is meant to form kind of a seed case for emptiness. At the core of the box, a line that is almost as thin as a hair depicting the thin line that pilgrims cross, during their journey back and forth, between illusion and truth.

الرحيل الى الذات هو عمل نابع من مجموعه أعمال ثلاثية
الابعاد صممتها بغرض انشاء بيئات مركبه تهدف الى أخذ الجمهور في رحلة ذاتيه بسيطه و قصيره الا انها جوهريه. انها أم الرحلات، الرحله الروحانية لملاقاة الذات.
يتخذ هذا العمل من مساحة المعرض الفني كحاوٍ له و هذا بغرض الاشارة الى عدة جوانب فنيه و معنوية. الأولى تهدف للاشارة الى المعرض بمسماة الحديث "الصندوق الأبيض"، و بالرغم من أن هذه التسمية لها دلالات معينة في الساحة الفنية في الغرب، إلا أنني هنا أقصد الاحتفاء بأرض المعرض كمساحة حاضنة للفن، الفن الذي أنظر إليه كقيمة انسانسية عليا تجذب مسيرة تطور المجتمع المحلي باتجاه انساني و ثقافي.
"الرحيل الى الذات" كعمل فني هو عالمين متداخلين يحتضن أحدهما الآخر. هو مساحة بداخل مساحه، رحم في جسد. هذا العمل هو قيمة معنوية بداخل صندوق أسود. فالصندوق الأسود هنا هو القشرة الأولى من جسد العمل الفني ، يوازي في رؤيتي الجسد البشري كطبقة سطحية للكيان الانساني و الذي عنده تفترق الشعوب بين أبيض و أسود. و من الواضح هنا أن للصندوق الأسود عدة دلالات أخرى أيضا بعضها مقصود و الكثير منها آيل للتأويل. أما المساحة البيضاء في قلب العمل فتشير الى الكيان الانساني الأريحي و الذي يمثل الوعي الانساني، لا الوعي المنطقي العقلاني و انما الوعي الروحاني المتزن بالحكمة الوجودية و الذي عنده تتساوى و تتشابه الشعوب. فالبشر جميعهم بالنسبه لي في حقيقتهم ما هم الا وعي واحد في أجساد ووجوه مختلفه، و الجسد مادة سوداء ثقيلة في فضاء كوني كصندوقي الأسود. و دعوة الجمهور للدخول في مساحة الصندوق الأسود هي تذكير للدخول في رحلة للتأمل بداخل الوعي الذاتي كرحلة حجيج الى الذات. أما قلب العمل المضيء فهو اللب الانساني المنير و الذي لا يمكن الوصول إليه الا بالدخول في مثل هذه الرحلات الذاتيه. و الدوران هو الحركة التلقائيه الحياتيه و التي نقضيها كبشر في لف و تكرار سقيم أحيانا و لذيذ أحيانا أخرى بين الصحيح و الخاطيء و بين الضجيج و الساكن فينا حتى تمام الاستناره أو تمام الموت
